My interest in this was first to get a static site generator that was easy to install and use. **With 0.43, we are almost there.** With that release, it should be possible to set up a Hugo-only project without any additional tools (Gulp, WebPack) for all aspects of website building. There will still be situations where those tools will still be needed, of course, but we will continue to fill the gaps in the feature set.
